    Hi Bryan, & Everyone..

    Well, I just purchased this wicked theme (clean home Pro). I've looked at hundreds and always came back to this one:) so now I'm a prowner:)

    There are only 2 customisations I want to do really. I can handle the css mostly but the other stuff I don't really know how to do.

    1) I really want a portfolio page *(like the one on the midmo website)

    2) have it so the blurb only shows up on that page.

    any help, suggestions etc on how to achieve this, I would be truly gratefulP)

    thanks in Advance

    Martin

    Below is an example of the HTML for that portfolio. Just post these into your pages (make sure to enter it in the HTML window).

    <div class="portwrap">
    <div class="leftport"><img width="183" height="122" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-297" title="best guitar" alt="best guitar . org screenshot" src="/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/bestguitar.png"></div>
    <div class="rightport">
    <h2><a href="http://bestguitar.org/">Best Guitar</a></h2>
    <p>BestGuitar.org is a site designed to help guitarists find the perfect guitar for their style and price range. With a database of hundreds of guitars, it is easy to find the best fit for you.</p>
    <p>Built on Django and designed from scratch by Bryan, BestGuitar.org is fast, optimized and looks great.</p>
    </div>
    </div>

    And here is the CSS for that as well:

    .post .portwrap h2, .post .portwrap h2 a, .post .portwrap h3, .post .portwrap h1, .post .portwrap h1 a {margin : 5px 0 10px 0;font-weight:normal;}
    .post .portwrap {border-bottom: 1px dotted #ccc;min-height:220px;width:620px;}
    .post .leftport {width:204px;float:left;border-right: 1px dotted #ccc;padding: 43px 0 43px;}
    .post .leftport a, .post .leftport a:hover{border-bottom : 0;text-decoration : none;}
    .post .rightport {width:395px;float:right;padding:10px;max-height:213px;}

    Hi Bryan,

    I Just caught up with everything. Thanks for this and for taking the time.. , Really appreciate it..:) I'm going to go and implement it now. Will let you know how I get on. I love working with this theme.

    Can't wait to get up and running though it's a way off yet, trying hard to keep things simple..

    Thank You!..

    That worked a treat!. Thank You:)

    is there a way to only have the blurb display on that page (portfolio page)? to introduce the items on the page sort of thing, but if it's a lot of messing about, I guess I could just create a div sort of thing and some css and just add it to the top of the page, as it's only on that page I want the blurb..

    Yeah, Martin I'm looking into the best way to do this (without hacking everything to death)...

    Thanks Bryan:)

    If it's a lot of messing though and like you say involves hacking everything to death, I can just put some html in there with a box sort of thing, and style it up instead so no worries. I'm looking into it as well so not being lazy, I just don't really know much about php, (learning though)

    thanks

    You could turn on the static blurb and then modify the blurb PHP (in header.php) to check is_page(4) (with four as your page id #) ALA:

    <?php if ( $chp_blurb_style == 'Static Text' && is_page(4) ) : ?>

    Let me know if that works, that hard codes it to only one page...

    Success!.. that worked! ..... I wasn't sure where to put the code at first, but I re-read your instruction and noticed it's all nice and clearly layed out in the header and found it.. and Voila!

    Excellent!..

    Thank You :)

    Bryan,

    Sorry for the newbie question, but where should I post the css content (which css file)?

    I really would like to implement this design and I can't figure this out, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    You need to add it to whichever CSS file you are using (smoother-left-sidebar, etc...) from the folder "styles" in the cleanhomepro theme folder!
