Hi Bryan,

Wondering how we can adjust Erica's site search tool so not to include the "Recipe" pages in the results ( i.e.: /recipes/main-dishes, /recipes/side-dishes, etc.)

Example: someone searches for "tacos" & in addition to individual posts pertaining to tacos, the list of recipes from the pages "/recipes/main-dishes" & "/recipes/side-dishes" will also result, as they include recipes that have tacos in the title, which doesn't work so well. Try it & it will make more sense.

Theme Updates

Hi Bryan,

I am wondering if you are planning on updating Magatheme as needed & offering those updates to your users? For example, themes require updating to function with new browser updates. The last time IE updated, Magatheme experienced some glitches that you did rectify.

Erica loves your theme but I need to be sure we can count it not to fail.

I would have emailed you privately, but you haven't replied to a couple of "hey, how ya doin" emails last year so I thought I'd better try the forum. Thanks.

Hello...

Will you be updating the Clean Home Pro theme as Wordpress versions change? This might be to utilize new WP features, fix bugs/breaks created by new WP, etc.

I'm worried as it took Bryan over two months to even check in on the forum to answer a question left in another thread. Did things just not work out and the Gazelle Themes project is being dropped?

I bought the DEV package and would appreciate an honest answer. Many themes from other developers are extremely active and under constant development. If Gazelle's two themes are not going to be updated -- I need to know. It's okay to move on to other things, but I just hope someone would be big enough to just be honest about it.

The slider is shifted ...

It's been a long time since I have written. I continue to be ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED with your Magatheme!

On my main website page, the slider has somehow become shifted about 1/2" to the right in its column. Can you help me get it aligned properly again? My website is located at http://thesexcoachdr.com/coach

Header.php nav bar link

Hi again Bryan,

I am starting to think that you have disappeared...but I will try again anyway...

You once added some code to my header.php that put a link to our Amazon store in the nav bar. The code went something like this...

Anyway, I added another outbound link to the nav bar & got to thinking...shouldn't these links be no followed? Is there some reason that you didn't no follow the Amazon link?

Change Tagline Font in Custom Header

Hey Bryan,

What's shakin? I hope you are well!

I adjusted the size of the title & tagline in the header on Erica's sites. I did this by going into the "colors" folder- then the custom named option- then to line #46. There I adjusted the H1 & H3 font em.

It appears as though I did what I needed to do as the title & tagline did actually change. Just to be sure, is there anything else that I should do?

Also, I noticed that the em size didn't always respond to 100th adjustments (ie: 2.55 as opposed to 2.5 or 2.6) Is that normal?

Drop downs on home page problem

Hi Bryan,

I'm back again -- been adding some pages to my site. (I use Magatheme Pro).

Noticing now a problem with the drop downs on home page -- they don't work -- meaning, when you roll over them with the mouse they do not drop down. This is only true on the home page -- they work on every other page. Condition is the same on various browsers and platforms.

The site is everychildstronger.org.

Hi there,
In Clean Home Pro I'm wondering if there is a way that I can use the images that are associated with featured articles or generic images of my choice rather than a gravatar if I use the featured posts in 3 categories option on the home page. I'm trying to use it as much like a magazine theme as possible. Also, wondering if some posts can have images in this option while others don't.

Hello? I really need some help with this one thing, and since it's the way the theme was set up it's harder to describe to someone.

I'm using Clean Home Pro, this is my site:

All I want to do is pull in the thumbs/images associated with posts on the magazine style homepage with featured content (which i'm not currently using as you can see) instead of avatars. I looked at all the code in the pages and the .css style sheet and I really don't know where to replace a.featuredavatar or any of the code that calls in the avatars, it's over my head to figure that out but I'm sure it's very simple.
Ideally i'd like it to default to no thumb if there isn't one. Please help or please direct me to someone who can, that would be very much appreciated, thanks!

Header image plus top right nav?

I would like to have both the header image

AND a top right nav appear. I currently have the "blurb style" menu set to "image," and I have the big space below it hidden–I don't need that space unless there's some way I can put the top nav there (that would be great). Although I have "show top right navigation widget" selected, I can't seem to use that option for the navigation because of the image header. It would be great if you could advise on how to accomplish this?

I spent a lot of time working on this a few months ago and finally gave up. I'm not much of a coder but I'm pretty good at copy/paste. I can make the header image smaller (currently the title and smaller images are all one image and/or can change it, leave as is, whatever I need to do) if necessary.

By the way I think your themes (clean home, magatheme) are still some of the best WP themes out there, and I obsessively check out new themes all the time.

Viewing several posts at a time

Hey Bryan,

When my categories are viewed, people can only see one post. I see there's a link to view older entries, but I doubt if people will go there without knowing what's there.

I'd like to show several snippets of posts on a page using the Wordpress excerpt feature. When I create an excerpt, still only one post is shown. It would be nice to set how many posts you want to view on a page in a category or archive. I have Clean Home Pro.

BTW, the "featured categories" options don't work as far as I can see, or maybe only with the other stylesheet, so I keep that turned off.

Subpages - doesn't seem to work

Hi Bryan,

I'm slowly making progress on my blog. I have tried to create subpages and even tried a subpages widget that puts links to subpages in the sidebar. The problem is, when I select to put a page under a Parent page, I get the subpage title showing up on the parent page, and extra space shows up in the nav bar. How do I get rid of this? I sent a screencapture to your email.

I'm using CleanHomePro.

Hi,

Two questions first

1. I'm using Clean Home Pro (the development version). I'd like to have a custom blurb for each static page. Is there an easy way to do this?

2. I am using the red version of clean home how do I stop the blurb turning red when a mouse rolls over it? I would like it to just stay black.

Can't move the post attributes

I want to move the post attributes from above the post to below the post. I was able to do this in the free version, but I can't do it in the paid version. I have version 1.2.8. This would be nice to have in the options.

Magatheme or IE or Both?

Hey Bryan,

I have a new 300 x 250 promo that I am running for the next 2 weeks in the wide side bar just below the email subscribe link on all posts & pages. Yet occasionally the promo doesn't show on the post pages & never seems to appear on the about page & intermittently on a couple of other pages. I find this extremely odd. This only happens in IE so I am wondering if Magatheme needs some sort of update for IE8? Just a thought :-)

I'v got the Selected Text option working for a blurb on a post, which is great.

Is there a way to have Selected Text option work for a static page? In other words I'd like to have a custom blurb for each static page. Is there an easy way to do this?

Header Image Location

Hi Bryan,

Well, I was thinking I could get our headers to load faster if they were in wp content/uploads rather than wp content/themes/magathemepro/img folder. If you recall, we are not using the Magatheme Options to input the header location, but instead you somehow hard coded the header locations. I see the header images in the "magathemepro/img" folder but cannot find where in the WP theme editor you pointed to this location.

How's about a hand ole pal o mine? Wouldn't it even be great to be able to use the wonderful Magatheme Options Panel to play with the headers if need be :-)

Uploads Folder Indexed by Google

Hi,

Got another one for ya! It has been brought to my attention that Google is indexing the wp-content/uploads folders on Erica's site & that this is not a good idea for multiple reasons. Is this a theme issue or a WP issue? It is not happening on my site.

Either way, I need a fix bad! ;-) It was also suggested that I disallow this via a robots.txt file. Does that sound right & if so, where in the theme would I do this exactly?

Sorry if this is not a theme issue. I thought I would bother you first because I like you :-)
